Gloria Jean McAdams Miller Gloria was born in Hampton Va. On April 22, 1952. She was a devoted wife and a full-time mother to five children. Gloria loved life. She was dedicated to her family and was always service oriented. Gloria also had a particular love for music. She taught herself how to play the piano and loved to sing. She always took the opportunity to sing in choirs. In July of 1995 Gloria was diagnosed with a rare form Lymphoma Cancer. With her family by her side, Gloria fought her battle with cancer for almost a year. With her body slowly weakening, and after losing her hair as a result of Kemo Therapy and Radiation treatments Gloria remained cheery and hopeful. The cancer spread very quickly and Gloria was hospitalized. When family and friends gathered at her bedside, with glum faces and fearing the worse, Gloria would sing. Continuing to remind us that she wasn't through yet. Then on April 21, 1996, the day before her 44th birthday, she took her last breath. Her fight with cancer was over.
